“I have heard about Zodiacs, but AppZodiacs… ?” , If this is what you are thinking, let me assure you, that you don’t need to think.I will explain it. But first, a few points about zodiacs.

Zodiacs has nothing to do with the past, present, future, horoscopes, magic, vodoo or any other such craps.

Thousands of years ago, scientists conducted a wonderful experiment. They picked 100 people each from the 12 months of a year, based on their months of birth,randomly. They reached a wonderful conclusion. “People born in same months have similar characteristics.”. The simple statement is true even when reversed. That is , “People with similar characteristics are born in the same month”. To represent these twelve different characteristics, twelve signs were invented. This was the birth of zodiacs.

Ok, signs are based on characteristics, but how are characteristics “Quantified” ?

How many times have you heard, “If you want to know characteristics of a person, know about his friends”. But in this fast paced world, we seldom remain with friends. Then what do we do, to know a person?
Nokia, along with Professor Trevor Pinch of Cornell University undertook research which suggests that 55% of us are app dependent – relying on apps to significantly benefit our lives. Pinch suggests that the intimacy we share with our phone means we stamp our personalities onto them. This means that if you really want to know somebody, just take a look at their apps!

The study of 5,200 smartphone users in 10 countries, suggested that the users belong to one of the six categories, classified on the types of App used. Thus AppZodiac was born. The Zodiac that can classify anyone, using only six signs.

Know your AppZodiac :

Did you see your characteristics, lurking out from any of these six classes? If yes, maybe you should look after the girl who uses the same apps as you, as Nokia says, she must be similar to you.
