I don’t think there will be a FPS gaming fan who hasn’t heard about HALO, the Microsoft game which redefined FPS entertainment. The game had everything – superior graphics, flexible gameplay, great music and sound effects, ALIENS, a memorable story and a mysterious hero whose face was hidden behind a modernistic helmet. As a teenager i used to draw sketches of what it might contain – A night vision, stereoscopic eye gear, radio transmission system, voice modulating gadgets, bulletproof head to ward of any alien bullets and every single gadget that fitted my imagination.

I must say, i was more pleased than surprised when i saw what i am going show you now, with the help of “docshop“.

The US defense companies and their military have come up with the HALO Helmets for use on the battlefields.

Whether this helmet came up as inspiration drawn from the game, or was developed based on pure logic and war requirement is a big question. But we can surely say that ideas from video games can definitely shape up our future.
