Is Augmented Reality (AR) one of the most exciting things to happen in the field technology? Some experts would answer that question with an emphatic Yes (me included, though I am not an expert).
For those who don’t know what AR is- It is the concept of overlaying the real world scenes and imagery with computerized information, digital pop-up windows or virtual reality displays.
Augmented reality Android and iPhone apps are increasingly becoming famous amongst the users and this, I feel, is only the beginning. As AR continues to gain its acceptance amongst the wider audience, we will find more of it in our daily lives, ranging from AR enabled text books to AR enabled products. But what could be more exciting than creating your own AR content? Researchers at Cambridge University have now developed a cool augmented reality app (for IOS and Android) called Popcode which could help you with that.
Unlike any other AR app, Popcode is based on Markerless Augmented Reality platform that means that you can add your additional content on anything. Check out the following videos to get a clear idea of the app and its working.
