Apple- the fruit has been playing an important role in evolving and shaping up the human race from the start itself.
Adam and Eve, the two mythological characters , considered to be the first man and woman according to the ‘Book of Genesis’ , are supposed to have eaten ‘Apple’ which was a forbidden fruit. As a result they were punished and sent to earth and this gave rise to the human generation..
Sir Issac Newton, the great scientist was inspired by a falling ‘Apple’ to formulate the laws of gravity which unlocked the answers like- revolution of planets, revolution of the moon, formation of tides and helped to furbish better devices by utilizing the law .
In 1976, Steve Jobs founded Apple Inc. He worked at a farm in summers, and developed a liking for the fruit apple. Also he loved the label ‘Apple records’ used by Beatles at that time. So, when he couldn’t think of any better name, he named his company ‘Apple’. Today it’s among the world’s largest companies and the most valuable technology company surpassing Microsoft.
Here is a poetic version of apple’s contribution in the words of apple itself , supported by some images. Hope you will enjoy this humor.
As I watched up from the trees,
Adam guarding the garden, along with Eve
Poor guys, as in solitary confinement,
lived in an air – so, gloomy and pale.
I was moved at this sight,
And offered them a bite,
Which unchained their ignorant mind,
and thus was created human- the bright.
Centuries passed, as i watched up from the trees,
a tensed Newton scratching his head,
over earth and flying debris.
His state moved mine,
and i offered him a bite,
Which let him explore gravity,
explaining the moon and tide.
Centuries passed, as i watched up from the trees,
people struggling with OS -so old and rigid,
I was moved at the sight and offered
Steve a bite who worked summers in an apple farm.
This ignited his mind,
and he started Apple -a technical farm,
and created Macintosh
the first graphical user interface.
Bite after bite led to
iMac, iPod, iPhone n iOs,
so simple n full of grace,
a fluid creation,
which empowers the iGeneration.
